Electric Trunk Lift Kit – Power Tailgate Retrofit for GAC Aion UT (AY2)
This retrofit kit replaces the manual gas-strut tailgate of the GAC Aion UT (AY2) with a fully motorised opening and closing system. A geared 12V drive actuator, vehicle-specific hinge brackets and a dedicated control module work together so the boot opens and closes on command, with the original latch, lock and anti-theft behaviour left untouched.
How the System Works
The control module reads the factory tailgate latch signal and the gear selector position. When the vehicle is parked, a command from the remote key, the dashboard switch, the tailgate handle or the optional foot sensor starts the actuator, which lifts the door to the memorised height and pulls it shut with a soft final latch. Any resistance during travel stops and reverses the movement immediately.
