              The Acura CDX, built on the RH4 and RH5 chassis between 2016 and 2022, is a compact premium SUV with a fairly upright rear and a tail gate that sits high off the ground. Cars sold with the powered gate from the factory are rare on the second hand market, and the manual struts on the rest lose lift as they age, so the panel starts to arrive faster than the driver expects.

              Our kit gives those cars the function they were mostly ordered without. The original struts are swapped for two electric actuators on the same ball studs, a controller is fixed behind the rear trim, and a plug and play harness carries power from the factory connector. Nothing on the body or the wiring is altered permanently.

              Fitting sequence

              →Hold the gate up, release both factory struts from the ball studs and keep them in the car.
              →Fit the forged brackets and seat the actuators in the original strut position.
              →Run the harness through the tail gate grommet and connect the controller.
              →Fit the cabin switch, store the opening height, cycle twice and check reverse and interlock.
              RH4 and RH5 cars differ in tail gate trim fixing, latch type and whether a factory powered gate was specified. Send the VIN, model year, drive side and a photo of the open gate with trim visible before dispatch so the correct actuator and bracket set is packed. Left hand drive and right hand drive builds are both supported.

              Packing and trade support

              Each set is packed in a reinforced carton with foam blocks, 88x27x24 cm, one set per carton, fasteners grouped by mounting corner and a guide printed in English, Russian or Spanish. Before sealing, every set is cycled on the bench and logged for force, current draw, park interlock and reverse response. Importers can request neutral cartons, private label printing, own part numbers and translated manuals, and we keep actuators, controllers and switches in stock so warranty claims are settled without delay.
