Electric Trunk Back Boot Opener for the Ora Lightning Cat
Ora Lightning Cat · Ora 07 · power tail gate retrofitThe Ora Lightning Cat, sold in some markets as the Ora 07, is a four door electric fastback whose rear glass runs almost to the bumper. That liftback tail gate is long, heavy and hinged high above the rear screen, so the factory struts are doing more work than on a normal hatchback. Owners who load shopping, luggage or camera gear end up reaching well above shoulder height, and in cold weather the panel wants to come down early.
Our conversion turns that liftback into an electric tail gate driven by the factory smart key, the boot button and a switch in the cabin. Two actuators replace the struts on the original ball studs, a controller hides behind the rear trim, and the loom connects through the factory plug without a single cut or drilled hole.

Fitting steps
- Support the liftback, release both factory struts at the ball studs and set them aside.
- Fit the brackets and seat the actuators in the original strut position.
- Route the harness through the tail gate grommet and connect the controller.
- Fit the dash switch, store the opening height, cycle twice and verify pinch reverse.

Actuators sit in an EPE moulded tray inside a printed carton of 78x22x20 cm, two sets to a master carton, fasteners bagged by mounting position and a guide printed in English, Russian or Spanish.
