Remote control power tail door lift gate open retrofitThe second generation Haval H9 arrived in 2024 with a wider, taller side hinged tail gate, and many export units carry a spare wheel on the door or a rear mounted accessory bracket. That combination makes the panel genuinely heavy, and the factory gas struts struggle once dust works into the seals or the temperature drops below freezing. Owners end up using two hands and a shoulder to close the door, and the latch takes the impact.
Our retrofit replaces the struts with electric actuators sized for the loaded door, keeping the factory hinge and latch geometry so nothing is drilled or welded. The controller reads motor current throughout the cycle, so the door stops and reverses on contact, and the closing travel is damped before the latch engages.

- Support the tail gate, disconnect both original gas struts at the ball studs and store them in the vehicle.
- Mount the laser cut brackets and fit the electric actuators in the original strut position.
- Run the harness through the tail gate grommet along the factory loom and connect the controller.
- Fit the dash switch, store the opening height, cycle the door twice and confirm the pinch reverse.
The actuator pair travels in a foam cradle inside a double wall carton of 90x27x25 cm, one set per carton, with fasteners bagged by mounting position and a manual in English, Russian or Arabic on request. Every set is cycled on the bench for force, current draw and reverse response before packing.
