Almost every unit shipped with a manual tail door and a pair of gas struts, and those struts lose pressure after a few winters, so the door starts to sag or drop on the owner's shoulder. This retrofit replaces them with motorised actuators plus a control module, giving the rear door electric open and close at the touch of the original key, while keeping every factory mounting point.
Because the H2 rear door is lighter than the larger Haval bodies, the actuators run a lower force curve and a slower final travel, so the door settles onto the seal instead of bouncing. The kit is supplied pre assembled and tested, and the harness uses matching plugs for the factory connector, with no cutting into the vehicle wiring at any stage.
What the kit changes for the driver
Two motor driven struts rated 580 N each take over from the original gas units, calibrated for the H2 door weight so the panel rises steadily and holds its position when released halfway.
A long press on the original remote lifts the door, a second long press closes it, and the tail door handle switch continues to work as an electric trigger, so the owner keeps the same habits with no extra key.
The opening limit can be stored for low car parks and garage doors, then cleared when full clearance returns. The closing edge is monitored for obstacles and reverses on contact before the latch reaches the striker.

Fitting sequence
- Support the tail door, then release both original gas struts from their ball studs and set them aside.
- Mount the brackets supplied with the kit and fit the motorised struts in the same position and orientation.
- Feed the harness through the tail gate grommet along the factory loom and connect the module.
- Wire the cabin button, store the opening height, then run the door twice and confirm the obstacle reverse works.
Packing, warranty and supply
Two struts sit in foam end caps inside a neutral carton of 82x23x21 cm, two sets to a master carton, with fasteners bagged by mounting position and a printed guide in English, Spanish or Russian.
