Electric Trunk Drive Back Door for Haval Dargo X
GWM Haval H7 · remote control power tail door lift gate open retrofit
The Haval Dargo X, exported in some regions as the GWM Haval H7, is the off road oriented version of the Dargo line, fitted with a taller rear door, chunkier tyres and more ground clearance. That extra height makes the manual back door harder to reach and to close, especially with muddy hands or a loaded boot. This electric trunk drive back door kit replaces the factory gas struts with motor driven units and adds a controller that opens and closes the rear door from the key remote, the door button or a dash switch, while using the original hinge and latch points so the body shell is left untouched.
Because the Dargo X sits higher than the road biased Dargo, the strut geometry and the opening speed curve are set specifically for this variant, so the door rises at a controlled pace and settles softly rather than dropping onto the seal.
| Vehicle | Haval Dargo X / GWM Haval H7 rear back door |
|---|---|
| Contents | 2 motorised struts, control module, harness, brackets, dash switch, fitting guide |
| Operation | Remote key, rear door button, cabin switch |
| Installation | Bolt on at factory points, no drilling, no wire cutting |
Strut load is monitored continuously; when resistance appears at the closing edge the module stops and reverses the door within a fraction of a second. Powered movement is allowed only when the transmission is in park. Motor current is capped, an inline fuse protects the retrofit circuit, and the factory manual release remains available if the battery is ever flat. For off road use this means the door can still be opened by hand after water crossings or long storage.

- Support the back door and release both original gas struts from their ball studs.
- Bolt the supplied brackets in place, then mount the motorised struts.
- Route the harness beside the factory loom and connect the module and dash switch.
- Store the stop height, cycle the door twice and confirm the pinch guard reverses.
A wiring diagram and photo instructions are included, and our engineers can join a video call to support a first installation.
Struts travel in a foam insert inside a printed carton, and fastener bags are labelled by mounting position. Every set is bench tested for motor current, harness continuity and pinch guard response before packing. Neutral packing, private label printing, custom part numbers and translated manuals are available for distributors, and we keep struts, modules and switches in stock for quick after sales replacement.
Send the model year or VIN and we will confirm Dargo X or H7 specification, the wholesale price band and the next shipment date within one working day.
