REMOTE CONTROL POWER LIFT GATE OPEN RETROFITThe boxy Haval Cool Dog — exported in several markets as the GWM Haval H3 — has a tall, near vertical rear door that is heavy at the top of its arc. This electric trunk kit gives that door powered operation: the original gas struts make way for motor driven units, a controller handles travel and safety, and the door can be raised from the key remote, the rear handle switch or a button fitted in the cabin. The retrofit keeps the factory hinge points, latch and locking system, so the body is never modified and the car stays road legal in markets that inspect structural changes.
Because the Cool Dog hatch is squared off rather than curved, air pressure resists the final part of the closing stroke. Our controller compensates with a two stage soft close profile, letting the door settle onto the seal instead of slamming it.
- Key remote

Prop the rear door, release the original struts from their ball studs, mount the supplied brackets and fit the motorised units. Route the harness next to the factory loom to the module, then install the cabin button in a blank panel. Store the stop height, run two complete cycles and confirm that the pinch guard reverses.
