The Haval Jolion is a compact SUV with a tall rear boot that sits high off the ground, so pulling it shut by hand is awkward for shorter drivers and impossible with an armful of shopping. This electric trunk drive boot opener solves that: the two original gas struts are exchanged for motorised lift units, a control box is added behind the trim, and the tail door opens and closes from the key remote, the boot button or a switch in the cabin. All work happens on existing mounting points, so no holes are drilled and the factory latch and lock remain in service.
The actuator force is calibrated for the lighter Jolion hatch, which keeps the motion smooth instead of fast and jerky, and the bracket set follows the curve of this specific body so the door sits square when closed.
A Hall sensor reads strut load and reverses the door the moment an obstacle touches the closing edge, so children, pets and luggage are never trapped. The module only allows powered travel when the vehicle is in park, which prevents the boot from opening while driving. Motor current is limited to protect the gear set, an inline fuse isolates the retrofit circuit from the car's harness, and the whole system simply returns to manual use if power is lost.
