Electric Trunk Drive Power Tail Gate Kit for Haval F7
Great Wall Haval F7 · remote control lift gate door open retrofit
The Haval F7 crossover sold by Great Wall carries a wide, deep tailgate that is hard work to lift when the boot is packed. This electric trunk drive kit converts that manual hatch into a powered one by exchanging the two factory gas struts for motor driven units and adding a control unit that responds to the original remote, the hatch button and a cabin switch. Installation uses the existing hinge and latch points, so the tailgate keeps its factory lock, its factory alignment and its resale condition.
Valve timing inside the struts is matched to the F7 hatch mass, which means the door rises steadily instead of springing at the top. The bracket set is produced specifically for this body, so the roof line trim gap stays even on both sides after fitting.
The control module watches strut load through a Hall sensor and reverses the door the instant resistance appears at the closing edge. Powered movement is blocked unless the transmission is in park, so the door cannot travel while the car is being driven. A current limit protects the motor if the hatch is held open or blocked, an inline fuse isolates the retrofit circuit, and the original manual release stays available for use when power is disconnected.

- Prop the tailgate open, then release and remove both original gas struts.
- Bolt the supplied brackets to the hatch and body, then fit the motorised struts.
- Lay the harness beside the factory loom and connect the module and cabin switch.
- Store the opening stop height, cycle the door twice and confirm the pinch guard reacts.
A wiring diagram and photographed instructions are included in the carton, and our technical team will join a video call for a first installation if requested.
Every set is packed in a printed carton with a foam tray holding the struts, and each fastener bag is marked with the position it belongs to. Units are bench tested before dispatch for motor current draw, harness continuity and pinch guard response. Distributors can choose neutral packing, private label printing, custom part numbers or translated manuals, and we hold spare struts, modules and switches in stock so service parts do not wait for a production run.
Send us the model year or VIN and we will confirm F7 or F7 series fitment, the wholesale price band and the next shipment date within one working day.
