The module is the heart of the system: it reads the trigger from the remote fob, the cabin button or the original tailgate handle, drives the actuator pair in sync, and falls into a low-draw sleep state between commands.

Installation Guidance
Set the module preset for the vehicle, then fit the bracket set with the matching model label. Both SUVs use clipped rear trim; the S06 upper panel releases first, while the Dashing trim comes away from the grab-handle screws before the clips. Brackets mount on the factory ball studs, the adapter plugs into the existing tailgate connector, and only the fused power lead and ground are wired directly. First fit is around 2 hours, repeats 60-75 minutes, fully reversible on both models.
