Application and Fitment
The bracket set is cut for the iX5 rear aperture, and the actuator stroke matches the original spring length, so the lid neither overshoots nor stops short. Right-hand and left-hand drive cars share the same kit. Vehicles with a factory rear camera or an aftermarket roof box need no extra parts, but buyers should mention the roof load so we can confirm the height limit that suits them.
Control Logic
- A short press on the factory fob releases the latch and drives the lid up through a soft-start ramp.
- The supplied dash button toggles open and close from the driver seat.
- The rear handle switch behaves exactly as it did before, but now closes the lid as well.
- The foot sensor reads a deliberate kick and ignores rain, mud spray and small animals.
In every case the module checks two conditions first: gear selector in P and vehicle speed at zero. If either fails, the command is ignored.
