Aftermarket Power Tailgate Retrofit for the GAC Trumpchi GS8S
The GS8S is the five-seat, shorter-body version of the GS8. Its rear door looks similar but sits lower and carries less mass, so it takes different actuator ratings and a different bracket angle. This kit is built for the GS8S specifically.

Fitting a GS8 kit to a GS8S leaves the door riding high at the end of travel. Confirm the model badge and the hinge casting before ordering; if unsure, send a photo and we will confirm the reference.

Installation
Rear headliner and quarter trim clips come off with plastic tools, factory struts release, handed brackets mount on existing hinge points, harness follows the GS8S hatch loom through the factory grommet, module behind the rear trim. Bracket bolts 22 Nm, ball studs 18 Nm. About two hours.
Packing
Carton 87 x 25 x 22 cm, one set per carton, four cartons per master. Actuators in EPE sleeves, hardware bagged and labelled by side, module in a rigid insert, manual plus wiring diagram. Cartons can be printed with the model code so GS8 and GS8S references never get mixed in a warehouse.
