Power Tailgate Retrofit for the GAC Trumpchi GS3
The GS3 is a small SUV with a hatch-style rear door that owners open and close by hand several times a day. This retrofit adds electric drive: two actuators replace the gas springs, and a module takes commands from the key, the cabin switch or the tailgate button.
What Makes It Worth Fitting
A manual hatch on a small SUV is short but heavy, and in tight parking it has to be pushed up and pulled down from an awkward angle. With this kit the door travels on its own, stops at a stored height, and closes with a motor-damped pull instead of a slam. Families with children, delivery drivers and car-sharing fleets all notice the difference in the first week.

Operating Behaviour
The module checks the gear position first and refuses commands outside P. Each cycle is preceded by three beeps. During travel, hall position feedback and a current monitor watch for obstruction; on contact the actuator stops and reverses within 0.3 seconds. Standby draw stays under 2 mA so a parked car is not drained.

Installation
Factory hinge points are reused and no panel is drilled. The harness runs along the existing hatch loom and enters the body through the original grommet, ending in moulded plugs. Bracket bolts are torqued to 22 Nm. A workshop needs roughly 90 minutes for the first car and around an hour afterwards.
Packing
Carton 78 x 22 x 19 cm, one set per carton, six cartons per master. Actuators in foam sleeves, hardware bagged and labelled by side, module in a rigid insert. Neutral cartons are standard; buyer branding and barcode printing available from 50 sets.
