Automatic Power Tailgate Trunk Boot Kit – GAC Aion RT (AY3)
A bolt-on powered boot solution for the GAC Aion RT (AY3). The kit swaps the factory gas struts for two driven actuator units and adds a control module that talks to the original key, cabin button and rear handle, letting the driver open and close the trunk without touching it.
Common Buyer Questions
Does it work with the factory remote?
The module reads the existing lock and unlock pulses, so the original key fob triggers the trunk. No second remote is shipped, and no key coding is required.
Will installation damage the body?
The brackets reuse the factory hinge bolt holes. On the standard version no panel is drilled and no wiring is cut; the harness ends in plug-in connectors.
What happens if something blocks the door?
Hall sensing plus a current limit monitor the travel. Resistance stops the actuator and reverses the direction within a fraction of a second.
Can the opening height be limited?
Yes. Four positions can be stored, which helps in low garages and mechanical car washes.
Is the manual operation retained?
Yes. With the system switched off or the power disconnected, the door can still be moved by hand using the original release.

Packing
One vehicle set per carton. Each actuator sits in a moulded pulp tray, the harness is coiled and tied, and fasteners are counted into labelled bags. Four cartons go into a master carton for container loading, and carton labels can carry the buyer's SKU and barcode.
