Power Tailgate Conversion Kit for the GAC Aion i60 (2026)
The Aion i60 leaves the factory with a manual rear door. This conversion set replaces both gas struts with driven actuators and adds a self-learning control unit, so the boot opens from the key, the cabin switch or a foot gesture, then closes itself with a soft final pull.
Design Details
- Driven actuators – ball-stud mounted units with internal hall sensing, sealed against dust and road spray (IP54).
- Self-learning module – learns the door travel on first power-up, so no laptop or diagnostic tool is needed at the workshop.
- Five control channels – factory remote, cabin button, tailgate handle, added dash button and optional kick sensor.
- Soft close latch – the last stage is motor-damped, removing the slam that wears out factory latches.
- Obstacle detection – current signature monitoring reverses the door within 0.3 seconds of resistance.
- Park interlock – commands are ignored unless the selector sits in P.
- Height programming – four stored positions suit garages, car washes and low canopies.

Mounting points follow the factory hinge and striker locations. Original latch, central locking and alarm behaviour stay unchanged.

Testing & Quality Control
Every actuator is run in both directions on a load rig and checked for current, noise and end-stop accuracy. Modules are flashed and verified against the correct firmware for the i60 body controller. Finished sets are packed after a full system simulation, and cartons are dropped from 80 cm on corner and edge faces before shipment.
Ordering Information
Sold per set, one vehicle per set. Mixed containers are accepted; the foot sensor version is packed with a separate sensor carton. Neutral boxes and customer-branded boxes are both available, and OEM labelling can be arranged for orders above 50 sets.
