Automatic Power Tailgate Lift Gate Boot Kit – GAC Aion V (AY5)
Turn the manual rear door of the GAC Aion V (AY5) into a powered boot with this complete retrofit set. Two synchronised lift actuators, a hinge reinforcement bracket set and a compact control unit replace the factory gas struts, giving the driver remote, dashboard and foot-sensor control over the tailgate.

Installation Sequence
- Disconnect the battery and remove the factory gas struts and clips.
- Bolt the hinge adapter brackets to the original mounting points.
- Fit both power actuators and torque the ball studs to spec.
- Route the harness along the factory loom through the existing grommet.
- Connect the plug-in connectors, mount the control module behind the quarter trim.
- Power on, run the self-learn cycle, then set the opening height and test the anti-pinch response.
A trained technician completes the job in roughly 1.5 to 2 hours.
